Met the newest Mrs. Trump at a party for work and then went to the parade which was awsome. Too crowded after a while but its all good when you're standing with two hot fun models and some friends.

Tuesday, October 23, 2007
I spent the majority of my week in Columbus. It was actually a lot more chill then I thought it would be. Not a bad thing, just not what I had imagined. I loved spending some time with my best friend Sarah Rachel Friedman. We went to the Topiary Gardens which is one more thing to check off the list. Pretty sweet. Wednesday night I went to a Zumba exercise class at the Chabad House. Everyone has been raving about this thing but I guess i've been in NY for too long because all I wanted to do to this teacher who was my age, and apparently my "twin", was punch her. The class was kind of like a kids hip hop class gone bad. But everyone else seemed to love it so I wasn't gunna yuck their yum. Then we went to my favorite place in that dam state to eat...Aladdins! I have dreams of the shishtawook (grilled chicken and secret garlic sauce rolled in a crispy pita) and the rice with pine nuts and cinnamon that is impossible to recreate at your own home. It was a great dinner which ended up being bigs and littles and everyone just had a really good time. I went back to Lucy's to sleep. Eric was coming in the next day and I knew it was really the only quality time I could spend with her. Id like to note that Stacy, who made this big fuss of me coming in, was not there.
Thursday I chilled at AEPhi for a bit, couldn't handle it, headed to Sarah's and chilled on her porch in the gorgeous weather. She loved her overdue birthday present which I made. A calendar with a bunch of our pictures. Went to dinner at the new place, Noodles&Company. Had some delicious but nasty PadTai. Then we drove the boys to the airport and went out to Gateway and experienced "Bar Hop 1999". Mad Mex, Ugly Tuna, skipped Skye cuz the line, toga party with Aristotle, McFaddens. Sarah and I ditched the party around 1:45. Ran into a drunken Brett Lurie. Terrible migraine. Awkward fight with some friends that eventually worked itself out, sort of, only cuz I truly did not care.
Friday I helped set up for dinner at Chabad. It is the least I could do for them. Went to dinner, met some people. Went back to Mad Mex with some of the old crew but it was boring as hell so I left "early" with Lucy and Eric. I dunno what happened but it was odd.
GAMEDAY! Ran into Kye and his girl on the way to CVS/BDubs to meet the couple of the year. We went to Hineygate and then the game. LOVE being there. Camra died. Fuck me. Jonas shows up and we meet him at CPK for some late dinner. Proceeded to get drunken dials all night from people I did NOT want to hear from. My favorite was Dbag who tells me after a year of not speaking and very bad terms "I hear you are in town and I wanna see you. I have to tell you, your an amazing kisser and I just wanted to get one more." I could write a book. I should write a book. Just based on this one kid alone I could write "How to be a douchebag". Theres an idea...
Woke up early to see Lucy run the marathon! The freaking Columbus marathon. 26.2 miles. She trained for 8 months and I am so proud of her. Her goal time was 4:45 and she made it in 4:48. Congratulations!!! So intense. My goal would be to make it and not die. Ugh I hate running. Then I flew home and it was a nice weekend!
K Bye!

The Kingdom
Saw the Kingdom. It was pretty graphic and not a terrible movie like I had heard. I liked that fact this there is finally a movie that shows that not all Arabs are terrorists. There are extremists out there that are not the same as an average Muslim. Thumbs Up.

advice
Not that I can even imagine what its like to be a celeb, I am starting to have more and more sympathy for them. I can't stand seeing the fact that celebs can't even walk 5ft without an escort telling them which direction to go in and have people clear the way for them. Give them some space! You got these celebs falling all over the place, crashing their cars! Its horrible. Speaking of crashing cars, I had this annoying epiphany watching a rerun of Paris getting busted for the DUI and the dude crashing her Bentley into a parked trucked in front of them. Seeing the entire scene surrounding them, I can see why that happened BUT money or not, WHY would you even want to take that on by yourself? Hire a fucking driver! Its not that difficult of a concept. Your at a club, drinking, and then have to deal with that crap? Hell no!
There was also this story I saw that kinda freaked me
out. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22555284-401,00.html
Basically, the jurors dealing with the death of Princess Diana, were on a
bus and it crashed! No one was injured and the tour continued shortly
after but what a freaky coincidence.
One other little piece of completely unprofessional advice for little miss Britney Spears. PUT SOME FRICKIN UNDERWEAR ON! I don't care if you don't like to wear it, or you don't care if there are pictures of your vayjayjay all over the place. Your just setting yourself up. Someone really needs to help her. Just smack the shit out of her and get her with it again. Its so sad.

The Smoke Joint
I went to Brooklyn with Rachel and Brianna to check out my cousins restaurant, The Smoke Joint. It was pretty good. Ben was sitting outside when I got there and I honestly dont even think I have ever met him. But I walked up to him and told him who I was. We got our dinner, I got chicken sandwich. Rachel got MacNCheese, smokey spicy greens, and a lettuce wedge with bleu cheese. Brie got a salad and McNCheese also. It was all pretty good. Ben also owns a place next to it, a sister shop, called Little Piggy (Market). I found this review on it. Ben explained it as the "no smoking shop". Funny man he is. Anyways, he sent us out 3 different desserts. Apple cobbler/pie type thing, a pear and apple bread pudding which was ok, and a yellow cake with strawberries and balsamic vinegar...INCREDIBLE! What a fabulous combo I would have never put together! Go try these places. Yummy.
Brooklyn is odd. Its very hard to get Rachel to go there so I was happy she came. I wish we had some more daytime there though. It definitely seemed like the Brooklyn I hear about though. Very patchy areas of good and bad. It would have been nice to explore a bit more. Next time. I also plan to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge.
In other news, as I sit here and watch results come in from college football, I am ecstatic! Stamford beats (1)USC, 24-23. As shitty as it is that (9)Florida won, they beat (1)LSU. Havn't been hearing much about this one but (8)Kentucky beats (11)South Carolina, 38-23. Illinois beats (5)Wisconsin, 31-26. Tennessee beats (12)Georgia, 35-14. And most importantly, my Buckeyes are just finishing up with 10 seconds to go and a shutout is no longer and option with the Boilermakers getting their first touchdown and the extra point. We still win though! Man are these annoucers talking up the Buckeyes though. "They could be better then last years team who went to the championship." Thanks guys, lets hope thats the case. GO BUCKS! Final score, (4)OSU beats (23)Purdue, 23-7, bringing OSU to a 6-0 season.
Also ate "dinner" at 3 Jalapenos in Mamaroneck. Its just across the street from my apartment. I ate there once and remember hating it. Once again I was not impressed, and its expensive. Never again.

Love thy neighbor my ass
Let me start with my story about how I got my moms car towed.
I came home from an overnight trip to Long Island and was in a bit of a tired daze. I had to go right to work at Rosa so I parked the car and went on to the train. I get out of the subway and I have a voicemail from my mom asking where the car key was because my brother saw that I parked in the wrong spot. I obviously had it on me so there was nothing that could be done. My brother wrote a note for the person to see, and it said "Sorry, be back at 7. If needed, park in 330." At 7:30 im in work but I get about 3 missed calls from my brother and my mom and 2 voicemails and then I get a text. Its from my mom and it says, "The car isn't here, it got towed!". I run to the bathroom to call her. She was so upset she didnt even want to talk. The voicemail from my brother was pretty harsh. I try to forget about it till I get home at 2am. I talk to my mom and get the information and will deal with it Friday AFTER my job interview.
The next day I go to my interview in the city. It's always great to wake up early, spend 40 plus minutes getting to the city, interviewing for 5, and then spending more time going home, especially when you have something like a towed car to deal with. I stopped at the office to see if I could get some info out of them because this whole situation is making me furious. We live in a private community, gated parking lot where there was a note on the car and it was 3 spots over, there is no reason someoen should get towed out of their own parking lot like that. When I get to the office the new chic tells me she did it. I was clearly mad and she could tell. I just dont understand how this happens. We are paying for a service in this building where if a situation like this does occur, it can be attempted to be handled first before taking action like a tow truck! What she informed me about made me even more enfuriated. She tells me the women came home at 6:30. Saw the note, did not care. She insisted on calling to get the car removed. The office tried calling our apt but no one picked up (obviously!) and since this is her spot, she can do what she wants. I asked that since the note said 7, and it was already 6:30, I dont know why someone in the office did not suggest she wait and possibly just park the 3 spots over and see if it gets moved. They said she wasnt hearing of it, she assumed the note was some kind of sick joke. She was very pissed becuase people park in her spot all the time and then they suggested it was me which made me more pissed. She then tells me I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I said, well what time did the tow truck come? She said 7:10. I said, my mother got home and called at 7:25. This is bullshit. She apologized and said she will explain the situation to the women. THANKS! Then she was like, did you get your car back? I said no, I had to go get it and teared up so I was like, this is rediculous and left. I AM SO MAD! What kind of "neighbor" does that to someone?!? I've really been trying to apply my whole being nice to everyone thing but its very hard when other people are just so evil. I cant even fully express my anger at this situation.
I turn around and I took the train again to Harrison. Refused to pay for the train ticket. Go to the ATM, get the car. All's well I guess. I pull in at home and there is a car parked in my spot! The irony! As im stampeding back to the office, I call my brother just cuz I had this feeling he may know who was parked there and sure enough his friend was over and it was his. My brother for some reason didnt even think that maybe this would not be a great idea. Wow just add to the stress.
I would like to just move on from this but its awkward and hard to forget about it when the car of this women is parked right in front of the door to exit. So every time I leave the apartment I have to look at it and it reminds me what a cunt this person is and how hard I have to try not to key her shitty car!

Food Lover
One of the greatest websites I have stumbled upon is http://menupages.com/. Its been so convienient and helpful. Add to it http://hopstop.com/ and life could not be easier!
This past week Couri's office moved to the UES which is cool and all but as far as food is concerned, its a bit inconvienient. I love walking and all but its a bit of a hike to anything in the area. There is something, just far enough that you could walk but its a bit annoying. Wrap N Run is a great place I had been to once before and forgot about even though it was one of the coolest wraps I have ever come into contact with. The Thanksgiving wrap. It involved turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. A-Mazing. There is also a Barbq wrap I am looking foward to now with mashed potatoes, barbq sauce, chicken, etc. WOW.
The only thing thats also kind of annoying is that I was in the office and offered to get people some food and a response from one was literally "Oh thanks but I dont eat!". Hellllooooo PR world. I'll say this one thing now so when and if I ever do get caught up in this world, i'll have evidence that I was once a nieve, little intern. I LOVE FOOD AND I AM NOT GIVING IT UP FOR ANY JOB!
I went to a really sweet place the other day with my best friend Rachel. It's in Long Island City, called 5 Pointz. I love exploring new places! This one was particularly sick. I took tons of pictures and it still doesnt cover everything. If your on facebook, and your my friend, check em out. Im too lazy to put them on another site. Maybe some day. I miss creating art. Painting, sketching, etc. One day i'll pick up a canvas again.

The Brave One
You may have noticed around town some advertisements for the new movie, The Brave One, starring Jodie Foster. I wanted to give a shout out to Rafael Sardinia, who plays Reed. He's the guy who beats them down and comes in for the lineup. It was hard watching him like that cuz he's the sweetest person in the world but he did a fantastic job. Go check it out!

Gossip
Lately I've felt somewhat like im back in high school. It was a very gossip filled week here in the NYC, for me at least. Interning at a public relations firm for nightclubs, socialists, etc. of coarse comes with its gossip...
My boss broke the story about the scandelous photos of Oscar De La Hoya and I learned about the past of the majority of the ladies at the office(http://gawker.com/news/ignominious-downfalls/how-drew-kerrs-pr-firm-died-264225.php).
But who would have thought working at Rosa Mexicano would have its stories/sitings as well?! Wednesday night 3 noteable guests came in. The first was former US Attorney General Janet Reno. I swear if someone said her name one more time I was gunna go crazy. So I escort her from the elevator to her table of yuppies. This one little boy had his long blonde hair slicked back in a pony. It was unreal how stereotypical it all looked. Ms. Reno is much older then I expected. A bum leg, hard of hearing, shaky. Kinda scary. Then I went downstairs and this dude comes in asking if his friend, a "fat big spanish tv host" come in yet. (His words, not mine). Turns out he was talking about John Quinones. Super nice fella. Introduced himself, shook my hand, smiled. Real friendly. But then, the winner of the night, and probably the most A-lister i'll meet at that place, goes to...Renee Zellweger! She was late for her reso but I was putting menus away and I look up and she comes swooping in like in a movie. A smile ear to ear, stunning new short haircut, looking perfect. I say to her "Oh hi! Your joing a party right?" And she was like "MMHm". I walk her to the table. When she saw her friends she did this cute little crazy girl dance and goes "wooohooo!" 5 minutes later she comes back to the desk and shes looking through her bag and looks me dead in the eyes and says "As soon as I can find my credit card im going to give it to you. Can you please give it to our waiter and tell him I am paying for this dinner. Do not let anone else pay. I WIN! Shit I hope I didnt leave it somewhere." She finds the American Express and hands it to me. Biggest smile. Sweetest lady. The rest of the night she had this laugh I could hear from the front desk, through the bar noise. It was boarderline obnoxious! So now I can add to my list of people I am aware that I have met due to Rosa, including Carol Burnett from the other night.
There are other people that come in but you just never know who you are talking to. Apparently Cindy Adams was in the restaurant and Rachel didnt recognize her and someone yelled at her for it. Same with me talking to clients/people at events and on the phone at work. I think its more of a thrill when you find out afterwards because then you arnt as nervous!

In the beginning...
So im tired of always forgetting places i've gone and things i've seen so I set this up kind of as a review of things i've expereinced. I guess it's more for me personally but I figured why not share some thoughts with the world. My opinion has absolutely no more legitimacy then anyone elses but since everyone and their mom has decided to be a self proclaimed blogger, I am too. I think I will also occasionally add some random stories in the news too. Now, let the games begin...
Until I figure out how to post videos and such, the link will just have to do but check this video out of a real live mascot fight which occured this Saturday.
