So Twitter sucked me in. FML
Now I am curious. What is the best way to go about Tweeting? (Is that the correct term?) It looks like every person uses a different device. Absolutely crazy!
I actually just sat here and watched a tutorial video. FML again!
So far this is the best one: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1909386

Designer Masks
They beat me to it but the other day I saw this lady walking around with a funny facemask. Well now I don't have to research it, just go here: http://guestofaguest.com/nyc-fashion/get-your-stylish-swine-flu-masks-now/
Fading
You know when you are just about to do something, and then you completely forget what it is you were about to do? That's been happening an awful lot to me lately. What can you take to improve this issue? There's got to be some sort of fruit or cocktail. It's a very frustrating feeling.
I am so lethargic today I don't feel like going on a scavenger hunt for the answers but I did find a site with chockful 'o idears.

My Movie Montage for April 29, 2009
Wake up once, go back to sleep on couch in living room where its cooler.
Wake up again.
Laying on bedroom floor in underwear repeating "ummmmmm".
Stare at wall above computer screen.
Stick head in freezer.
Celebratory dance for making yummy iced coffee.
Staring at wall making "ummmm" noise again.
Lightbulb going off to take a walk.
Lost soul stroll in NYC.
Back on couch disappointed.

Day In The Park
Street Fair Food
One of my favorite things about NYC is the street fairs. Jen and I stumbled onto one Sunday evening just as it was closing down. If you ever want a good deal on street fair food, go at this time. We were going to buy zeppoles regardless but when we got there the guy informed us it was buy one get one free! Just cuz he wanted to go home. DELISH!!!

Castro In Central Park
I crushed on 1 Top Chef, Sam Talbot. He is the only one I have seen in person. I have only crushed on 1 American Idol. Jason Castro. I was walking through Central Park today and who do I see? Saweet.
Seems like he is up to a lot these days and I have a feeling he will be clawing his way through fairly soon. He just signed with Atlantic Records and I guess was filming something since he was with a crew with a lot of baggage. I know I'll be keeping an eye out for his stuff to come.

Not Working
My friends looking for jobs and I have realized something. Not only are there practically no jobs out there, but people just aren't getting back to each other either. It's very weird, and rude. You put out an ad to walk your dog. Are you really getting such an overwhelming amount of responses that you can't even say "Thanks but no thanks"? Also, what makes me so unqualified that I can't sit in a park with your dog and pick up his poop? I must be pretty pathetic. Its tough out there!

Twitter Cave In
I did the unthinkable. I went back on my word and joined the evil empire that is Twitter. My friend made a really good point. I can't have someone else take my name! Most likely I won't use it so much for my own updates but more for a searching source. FML

Earth Day
I used to work with a wonderful woman Cynthia Lufkin and her family. She is married to Dan Lufkin, who happens to be credited as being one of the founders of today's day. So in honor of the day, please enjoy some neat pics from your mother earth...

Meetup.com
This website is pretty cool.
http://www.meetup.com/
From their site:
Meetup is the world's largest network of local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face. More than 2,000 groups get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities.
Meetup's mission is to revitalize local community and help people around the world self-organize. Meetup believes that people can change their personal world, or the whole world, by organizing themselves into groups that are powerful enough to make a difference.

Bad Timing
I picked a bad time to be unemployed. Next time I do this, I will make sure it happens in the summer. It was such a waste sitting here inside this whole time.

I Love Dog Parks
JDate Failure Stories
So I was with a friend checking out her JDate profile when I saw they added a new feature. A blog with all the success stories. I am one of the "few" who have terrible experiences with the whole thing and my first thought was, well what about the bad stories? So I am starting a new blog for just that. If you have any failure stories from JDate, please pass them along to me at nybuckeyeblog@gmail.com. Thanks!

Chihuly and Glass Blowing
How freaking cool is glass blowing? The first time I really appreciated the art form was when I saw the Chihuly exhibit in the Bellagio. Then there was an exhibition in the botanical gardens in Columbus and OSU offered a glass blowing class I considered taking but never got to it. Students would sell their work on the oval. Besides the typical plates, vases, etc. they also made smoking pieces and even more scandalous, dildos. Check out some of these cool works of art...
I took these at the Franklin Conservatory:
This is just the freakiest bush thing I have ever seen that was outside the building.
