Plum is going to be the next hot menu item. The plum season is between May and October so im not surprised that I am starting to see it emerge. P.F. Chang's has a Plum Wine they always brag about. Their crab wontons come with a plum sauce. The restaurant I work at, Reddstone, is adding a plum sauce to the braised short ribs on their summer menu. Are you seeing the ingredient anywhere? Let me know! I am kinda intrigued to see how creative people can get with this fruit!
